What would you add to FIFA to improve the game?

I'm sure many of you have a LOT of ideas concerning this topic of conversation.
I would say the following...

1) Pre-Made International Cup Tournaments:

This would mean we don't have to custom make the tournaments. Why not include the World Cup? Euro? Asian Cup? African? etc, etc...
I understand that they make money at EA Sports by releasing FIFA World Cup and Euro games, but seriously, at least give us SOMETHING in the International sector!

2) Futsal Leagues/Tournaments

FIFA 96 had the indoor football option, why not bring that back and call it Futsal instead? There's FIFA Street now which obviously adds a cool dimension to football games, but adding the Futsal option in FIFA would excite a few I think!

Both are great ideas, but sadly now provided in other games as you say, which would probably mean less £££ for EA if they were to implement them into the FIFA titles.

So unfortunately could never see it happening now. :( I totally agree though they would be great improvements!

SCENARIO MODE.

Actua Soccer 2 had it in 1997, EA can do it now. I know the challenges they muster up are similar but having an actual mode would be great.

If anyone has played PES, then you would know what I am talking about. I want to have add-on packs for FIFA. These packs contain jerseys, boots/cleats, stadiums, and player faces. The game feels so out of date 4 months in when all of the people have the same cleats and so forth.

I also want Pro Clubs to have better AI's and get rid of the ANY option. Many people may not like that (@Ry3 is a very good ANY) but I'm with the group that thinks that Pro Clubs should be played with your VP's. However I can understand why people use ANY's, it is because the AI's are complete garbage.

If the CPU was made better than it currently is, you would literally never score a goal ever again. Especially with the inevitable Virtual Pro GK backing them up. :facepalm:

To get Pro Clubs back to the brilliant level it once was back on FIFA 09 and 10, they need to get rid of the CPU altogether as far as Im concerned, or if not, then put it on Semi-Pro so it made teams use an ANY which would make games far more enjoyable to play.

The amount of times we've absolutely battered a team, which consists of two headless chickens running about up front, only to be taken all the way to a Penalty Shootout purely because we cannot do a thing against the CPU is totally unacceptable.

Already said = edit kits but also edit badges in Ultimate Team. I know, I know...then there'd be a bunch of wankers making their badge - well....I wanker. But I think that you could at least edit EA's stock badges & kits like you can in Custom Teams.

-Also - create your own stadium in Career Mode.
-Negotiate your own endorsements with product placement. EA could make a boat load of $$$ if they asked, say - British Air for some money in exchange for product placement.

"Leo Fooligan" signs 8.5 Million pound deal as British Air spokesman....something like that. Or am I just too much into it?

I'd also like to be able to "unlock" certain classic teams or kits once you've accomplished something special. This might already be the case however I never accomplish anything special...... :D

I would have agreed if you meant FIFA 09 or 10 as the AI was pretty poor on that, but that's also how I believe it should be. I really don't want to be playing a team that is controlled by the CPU for the majority in an online game mode. It is unbelievably boring. This is why we created the FixClubs campaign.

Show them ACTUALLY happening for GOD sake. Imagine WATCHING the transfers happen, watching footballer of the year ceremonies, watching press conferences after your matches where you get to control what is said! SO much can be done with it!

Let us select Shirts, Shorts & Socks seperately at the Kit selection screen! so i can have Man Utd with Home Shirt, Home Shorts but Away Socks!

Full Edit mode, similiar to PES.. so if Beckham changes his hair in real life, i can change his in Fifa?? keeps the game up to date for those of us who care about Realism..

Well here we go, the amazing...or not, Ultimate Team...For a start, an easy one for you guys at EA...Let us give our players a number, because Messi, Ronaldo, Rooney, Torress (okay maybe Torress) shouldn't be running around with a number 3 shirt up front... 2nd - Why do we have to stick to the formations? It is our ULTIMATE TEAM! Let us play with the formation!! 3 - Do you really not have the ability to change a LW to RW or a LB to RB?? For instance Sturridge...I want him to be LW on ultimate team, but he can't...yet he can be made to go CB!??!

Here comes the idea that could get Fifa some serious £££
Just for example...think of Pokemon cards... go to the shop, WH SMITH whatever and get your pack... I don't but used too... I know it may not work now as GAME have gone byebye, but you could sell a hard pack of cards, or something? And then enter a code online in Ultimate Team somewhere (As you do when you redeem your Micro Points) and then a pack could be bought that way??? There could be something done like this, considering im in the middle of work I can't sit around and think... But look how Spyro have took off with the little figures you buy and put on the portal...they upload to the game!

One last thing on Ultimate team ( I will post more stuff ) But how hard is it to get a Messi, Ronaldo, or even in form cards...they need to make these less rare... I have spent £100's and £100's on Fifa11 and 12 and still not had a decent player worth it, I might get a Silva for ManCity and sell him for 46,500...but all that ends up as is 3 premium jumbo packs, where the 7 rares are mostly contracts and bloody injury helpers!!! Actually adding onto this - In the top corner of Ultimate team it has your W-D-L records...you can't draw...why not do an Ultimate team league? It doesn't mean you need to know 20 friends on Fifa, just host league servers, everyone can enter, and then play each other 4 times, there doesn't even have to be a schedule, for instance I need to play some guy, if I dont in 4 days, I will forfit the match, it doesn't need to be - Both be on at 6.43 to play the match otherwise your out!!

Career Mode

For some reason im quite a big fan of career mode on fifa, even though it is either TOO easy or Annoying (padbreakingly) Difficult!! But there are a few things that need to be sorted out! For instance...im doing a career atm with Sunderland, my first problem is..I watch motd at weekends and see James McClean destroy teams on the wings...pace, dribbling, shots...yet on the game he is 23/24 and only a 62!! I mean come off it fifa...I feel like I should sell him because he is just pointless being there...yet I watch him in real life and think no I want him... But it just feels terrible at times, no actual control over the club...yeah you can buy a player, loan a player (Although why do you always have to pay the full wage...can you not negotiate a 50/50 wage bill, or they pay wage, you pay a bonus??

Also... If you look back to LMA manager (This was out on the orignal playstation) Imagine simming a game and it ends 3-2, what about a highlight option? And it can show the 5 goals...surely if LMA mastered this on original PS...your obviously advanced enough to do the same???

There seems to be nothing interesting at Career mode...all the players scouts find...even English ones, have random names... for instance K.Laventittyer who the hell is he...if your doing youth teams, do the actual youth teams...not the odd player who is young and gets an odd reserve game...Just put the whole squad on!!!

My first idea and it should defo be in... have a manager on the touchline... how hard would it be to do a Fergie? Wenger?Mouriniho? Surely it can be done so simply... also there are NEVER any subs sat on the bench...so how can a player come on?? Also maybe show players warming up during a game?? - 2, I think some of the offsides are a joke, I seen one the other day, and his shadow was infront of the player, so it was offside! What the hell is that about?? I know it may be set to automatically give them, but how about giving offsides that are not offside, and carry on playing now and again if someone is offside, just to make it more realistic!! 3 - Please can we not create our own stadium? They even had this on LMA haha! So come on Fifa, get your act together and put things in! Im guessing the idea is do it bit by bit, but just go all out on it!! Blow PES to pieces, because it wasn't that long ago they were stampeding ahead of you! Now your in control, stay there! I love fifa, yeah sometimes it's annoying, but you have a chance to make fifa13 the awesomeness of awesome! If you want me on board give me a shout! Im not bothered about money, but I could add things the fans want! I really hope this gets read by the fifa team or developers, because if not then well im going to be upset!

Ahhh - yeah I have 1 last thing to throw in!!! Get real chants for fans, more boots, more accomplishments for Virtual Pro, More options for the VP...why can you never be benched? Never get dropped? Your either in reserves, or in from the start...

Some good points there pete, not entirely sure I agree with making it easier to find players like Messi, Ronaldo and IFs though. If it was made too easy everyone would end up with them and it wouldn't be anything special to have them, which it should be.

I think it should be easier to get better players, the game is far too much in favour of trading, I don't play Ultimate Team for trading, I play Ultimate Team for mixing up teams and getting a good and fun team. I'm not saying, every 100 packs you buy, you get a Messi/Ronaldo, just make players like Maicon, Ramos, Ferdinand, Terry, Ba, Walcott, etc.. easier to get, because I must have opened about 70 gold premium packs and yet my best player I have got is Forlan, which was out of a free pack before Fifa 12 was out btw, I don't think I have got any other play 84+. That's probably why I enjoyed FUT09 the best, I got some OK players, but I could permanently upgrade them to, so even if they were utter crap, I'd still be guaranteed some good players after spending UT coins on upgrade cards.

Pete, the idea about FIFA Trading Cards is a GREAT idea. I am a big card collector of AFL Cards in Australia but this would definitely turn me.
Would be good if certain cards offered Ultimate Team rewards or some sort of redemtions.

Do you find aswell that the replay of an offside sees the defenders pushed up more to make it an offside compared to where they actually were in the game. Makes it look like a coding bollocks as the game thinks the defenders are higher up the pitch than they actually are. Shambles.

I'd like to see different colored cards for consumables. Trying to find a 4321 position card and having to hover over each one to see the whole formation sucks. I'd actually rather them have different search categories for each position & formation but I guess that would be too difficult.

Also...I'd like to be able to "bookmark" where I was in my search. Nothing sucks more than getting to page 27 of position cards and going to check the Watch Pile and going back to the search and having to start over .

I wish that the CPU teams in Career Mode would diversify their squad some. You always play the same old XI. You can be Wolverhampton and play Arsenal, and they play all their best people while I'm giving mine a chance to rest.

Don't know if it's been said but using a kit editor after each season in career mode.

Also, a game mode where you all have a certain budget to spend on a team and players have fixed values like in The Sun dream team, but you play online matches after being put into a league with 10 or so players, and if a players hasn't played a game within a certain amount of time, they are kicked from the league and somebody else is put in a picks up from where they left off. Winning and drawing games will then earn you transfer money to start a new squad in the next season. There are probably flaws in it though that could be thought out of.

- a users record should pop up in the similar to how the squad and formation pop up just before the game. why does one have to click 4 or 5 times just to go to the player hub to see someones record? personally i don’t really care what someone’s record is but my eyes do lighten up when i see i’m about to play a great player (based on the record), i think it adds something and in real football every team knows all their oppositions stats before the game. hey could even borrow from Madden where you can use your coins to scout the opposition and it shows you how your opponent usually plays.. for fifa it could be:

I have opened hundreds on pack and i have never found a player worth more than 60k. This is wrong.

Because they make the players so rare no wonder why there is a ‘black market’ on ebay. They are even losing money because of this. I don’t want everyone to have Ronaldo every other pack ofcourse but the chances should be balanced,

Can the tournaments be actually worth something? and can players create their own ‘wager’ tournaments? i.e set an entry free /private or public, set the rules, and accept entrances etc. Its what everyone does offline anyway!

Introduce a feature where you can sell multiple card or the whole squad!... sometimes you want to sell an idea, and squads can be worth more than individual players put together.


All Modes
Freekicks should be easier to score. In real football if you concede a freekick in a bad position you always fear the worst, on fifa you go and make a cup of tea whilst the opposition misses. enough said


Weather
in some games the weather should change from sunny to rainy then dry with a soaked pitch, that would be cool lol

I like the idea of UT showing your record before games, but then that's because I'll just play anyone who I'm matched against.

Sadly so many people currently back out if they see you have a great team, so I can only imagine how much more that would happen if they saw you had a good record also.

What nitenite said gave me a little idea about "sharing the wealth". I doubt that you could increase the chances of getting a player over 60K. But I do think that you could make it a little more difficult to KEEP that play for too long.

-Limit the number of contracts to 5. After he plays his last game under the 5th contract, you have to sell that player (or just not be able to use him).

-After the 5th contract, limit every other contract to ONE game. In other words, make it harder (and more expensive) to keep the player.

-Or....increase the cost of the contract after his third added contract. Not sure how this could be done but make it just like the player is negotiating.

I know these are far fetched ideas but give those less fortunate a chance to own one of those players.

I'd personally love to see a competitive 2v2 ladder on FIFA 13. I think it would catch on quite well as a I know a lot of people enjoy playing with their mate on FIFA against other opponents.

At the moment you just have to stick to playing in the 2v2 Lobby but it would be awesome to see an actual competitive leader-board for 2v2 :)

That would be a cool idea. Each year Career Mode gets worse, they add new features and remove some of the old features...don't understand why EA do this???

Also I know it would take a long time to do but players in Fifa are too overrated. I played PES last year and felt that their stats are better in terms of not every team not having superstars. I just feel that it will make the game more interesting if EA done an overhaul on the players attributes. Come on is Dombia for example in same level as Messi or Ronaldo

I think I heard that we will be able to unlock retro kits. I'd like to see the alternate kits on FUT. Real Salt Lake's yellow is sharp.

Yes it would add the realistic effect to the game. However the unfortunate thing is that as there are so many players it would take a Fifa/EA a very long time to do an overhaul of players stats :-/
