Basically in H2H ranked online games you can choose to only control the keeper meaning you will play a world class AI side and a human keeper when defending. It's so easy to do that you can just press the 'back' button or 'select' button and switch between keeper and team, meaning you can attack as a human and defend as AI. Further to this, the human keeper is stupidly overpowered and can save most shots, even close range ones.

There's reports of people finding it impossible to lose choosing this scenario.

What'll happen here is what happens in clubs. It will completely ruin the game.

If this isn't fixed it'll be me selling the game. :-/

I play alot of ranked, so if this happens to get into the full game then i will indeed sell the game and never play it again.

Just remove the ability to control keepers online. Been nothing but a disaster in clubs and now h2h.

Trust EA to make a fantastic game but completely ruin it with a pointless addition!

I hope it's easy to fix, there's already a 35 page thread about it on there and it's terrible PR before the launch.
The dev team must be ****ting themselves.

If it's not easy to patch I will definitely be trading it in.

The game didn't even get to release date and we already have our first major issue. :ha:

Hopefully they fix it asap because I've enjoyed the 1v1 games I've played.

Yeah I mean, I'll be honest, I barely play the career mode beyond the first week. It's ALL about online for me, H2H and clubs.

I'm SURE they'll fix it. But I hope they don't take their time about it.
If they get stubborn because it's a planned gameplay addition they can go swivel :ha:

That was the biggest problem with FIFA 11, especially clubs, issues either took ages to be fixed (trigger glitch) or never were (hacked pros).

They need to be very sharp this year.

Knew it wouldn't be long before there was a bug....

so in summary EA have improved FIFA 12 .... all they did was make the worse possible glitch ever.

My god, they really know how to make this game a total farce dont they. What on earth possessed them to make it so you can control the GK during a 1v1 game? What a total load of absolute nonsense that is.

The human-controlled keepers are totally overpowered on Clubs Mode, so the thought of trying to score in a 1v1 against not only a World Class CPU side, but a superman GK as well? Forget it.

A tip for coming against goalkeepers (Not sure how effective on Fifa 12 but was really effective on 11) is to fake shot then have a shot afterwards.

Yeah that's a good tip, iBrummy. I tried to do that a few times on 11.

Sometimes it worked, other times I messed up in the sheer panic of facing them. :D It was not cool.

Yeah I only found out towards the end of Fifa 11 so I am not exactly an expert at it either :) It seems that they will take it out of online matches after looking at the thread on the EA forums.
