Haha, that time wasting was excellent, I usually find it hard to keep it in the corner but you bossed it. :)

Yeah, the only problem I'm having with my energy is that I can't race past defenders like I could usually but we create so much anyway, I don't need to race forward, I'll just try and stick to picking the ball up and laying it off again. The simple play was excellent.
This is what I've been advocating for months! How I used to play at CDM till I got fed-up of nobody passing the ball to keep possession. Obviously played well cos I wasn't there. /--

BTW Brummy, you might want to add the Second Wind trait, which gives you an energy boosts late in the game.

Speaking of time wasting, it's kinda quite funny if you ever try it against these teams who use CPU ANY because the AI will often never actually tackle you if you just keep going back and forth. :D It's a big flaw in the way it plays, but it only cares if you're trying to advance past it.

If you just play keep ball it's pretty bad. Where as if you have an ANY that is one big advantage because obviously they will be after the ball.

The biggest challenge, of course however, is actually breaking the CPU down to begin with...

You'd be surprised in some games on the X360 club we get to 70% possession against these CPU + VP GK teams, because it's often just 3 or 4 of them hanging about in attack calling for the ball all the time from the CPU. :D

The sad thing is, despite all the dominance we can end up going to penalties after a 0-0 or losing 0-1 to the only shot they may have in the game because we don't use a VP GK. :facepalm:

It lets me rip my CDs (FLAC is best) to my NAS & play them on my hi-fi. Doesn't tell you you need your PC on to act as a server tho'. Grrrr... Only supports 2 NAS drives as servers, not mine of course, so a bit miffed. Still, it works well & I'm rediscovering CDs I haven't played in years!

It's refreshing to play a nice passing game, otherwise it's same old, same old. There's very few teams out there that play Fifa the way football should be played.

If you look at Real Madrid, they have fast regrouping to make a good attack but if you compare to Barcelona it takes them 30 passes to make a good attack. I think when they played against Inter in 2010 they passed over 750 times and just did 1 goal.

Today me and JUSTDOIT1994 were rocking in clubs, passing 121, doing beautiful plays and scoring nice goals, result;didn't lose any game...we played so good that one of themost of guys that rage quited sent us a message saying that we are glitchers, today the best days for me about playing FIFA becuase wothout that i played H2h too and i was just wining, in diision 3 so far i did 5 games and i got 5 wins :D, the funniest is that in the last game i dominated so much the guy (i scored 2 goals, but i passed the entire game doing skills and passing by him) the guy sent me a message saying ''You are good'', when i saw that i was so suprised, but being me a sir i say ''Thanks'', what i get? , he messaged me again full of rage and i was laughing so much,end of story: I'm good :D

For me it was so wasy to win those games, i just scored 2 goals before half time every single game and then i would start doing some skills and pass by their players, so i got 2 options:1) I'm really good at skilling becuase i always passed by them or 2)they are rubish at FIFA12, i think it's more the first one :D

I ment your "proper football" is playing like Barcelona. Because Barcelonas play is passing the ball as you said. But I ment that there is alot of "proper football" than just passing along, there is good defensing, good counter-attacking and so on. Just cause you have two fast ST & get the ball to them early dosn't mean it isn't proper football? I've seen alot of fast ST:s in games getting the ball and running very fast by the defender and getting some good openings cause of the need of defender trying to stop him and from there the ST can make a good pass or something like that. Since when isn't that proper football? When Inter won chamions league between 2009-2010 with Mourinho they just had good defense, awesome counter-attacking, a fast running Eto'o and a very good right back Maicon doing a good job of running (not that the others didn't run).

When I've played ultimate team (since the update) all the players I've played against has all players in very high paste (spelling?). I want fast players that can do good passes into the goalfield (don't know what it is called in english so I chanced for goalfield xD) there I'll have a really good player (Ibrahimovic) that can score. But that depends from team to team.

Get on the Creation Centre & download the BYA boosting team. Make sure you play an exhibition game against them so you can play to your VP & you'll get a decent VP after just a few games. That's how I got a few GK accomplishments because I'm rubbish in goal. I kept making 'bad' passes in defence so I could bring the GK out to get the 1-on-1. :D

And, stating the obvious, but if you play on WC, you'll get the easy ones as well as the Advanced ones with no extra work. I reckon you'd have an 84+ in less than a week. Yeah, I know it's a pain, but I had to do it in F11 after EA muppets lost my VP for me. (I contacted EA because my VP accomplishments weren't updating. Losing my VP solved the problem! :mad:)

TBH Brummy never missed anything last night. On & on about the Barcalona game instead of concentrating on playing football. It was so tedious I had to turn off my headset! Anyway, when you vanished, I decided to play ME3 instead, but... I couldn't connect to the EA servers(!), so I couldn't get the 100% readiness I needed.

We usually play 7pm onwards until about 12/1pm weekdays, up to 3/4 a.m. on weekends. We usually have at least a CAM, CDM and ST so probably on the wings if there is any position we are lacking. If you just send a request to 'FGN FC' then I will or if somebody else beats my too it, they will accept you.

Well we are quite alot, in a normal day we can have around 5 guys besides that we have alot of people that doesn't play along time or that didn't even played once ...Well we like to play the passing style and have the ball, if we have a rm and a lm better because we can do better our plays by the wings and then pass inside and hopefuly the st will finish it as we actually have good st's, so for a rm/rw i guess you just need to have some PACE and a good pass/cross...

Xemik lately there are alot of dumb people playing clubs, i believe it's the vacations, since it started it's the second t ime this happens, first was woth me and JeDi to i believe, the guy was so mad that he send me and him a mssage calling us hackers and so on..and now this, but this one i think it's worst, so he is the one playing clubs the wrong way but besides that he is the one mad..i really do not undestand these kids, i believe my generationg , or some part of, are a bunch of dumb people... :facepalm:

The message in itself wasn't a big deal, but the 'tut tut' at the end cracked me up & is why I thght I'd share it. And the fact that they quit in stoppage time only losing 2-1. JeDI suggested that that was to stop us seeing the stats.

Grrr...sorry about that guys. For some reason, since FIFA12, if I sit idle too long, I lose connection to the server. ALL on line modes. If I search for a team too long in H2H mode, I lose connection. I run a league and if my opponent takes too long, I lose connection. FUT - same thing. I always have to restart FIFA and then have to get back into what ever mode I was playing. The only thing I have NOT had issues with is Ranked Pro Match.
Any suggestions?

No...It's moderate.
It only happens when I sit idle too long. If I don't jump right into playing, I will not be able to find an opponent. So just say I go edit my VPro. And that takes 4 minutes. Then I go play in our game.....I will not be able to connect. If I sign on and start playing immediately, I will be able to connect.

If I take too long trying to decide who to use on H2H, I will not be able to connect. If I jump right in and play right away, I will find an opponent.
It really sux.

I think I might have had a brief period when it happened to me a long time ago, it stopped happening after a short time though. Not sure how it was sorted. I can't remember doing anything to change it happening.

Wow.....I just had an on-line chat with someone about it. I will post the transcript somewhere else later. Basically he wanted me to delete the Game Data Utility. I was hesitant doing that as I thought that I would delete the whole game. Then when I told him that it was the only file, he told me to hold on and leave it. Then he wanted me to turn off my modem for two minutes and then reboot.

So- had I deleted the Game Data Utility - wouldn't that have deleted my whole game?

I'm not sure what that would delete, if you can find a UCG file or something along them lines, try that. I remember deleting that for some problem.

Bobby had something like this with his FGN login,so he created a new PSN Io just to play Fifa.

BTW assuming you're using the disk-based Fifa, it's safe to delete Fifa game data in the PS3 Game Data part of the XMB (near the top). VP data is saved in the Game Saves part (just above Trophies). Fifa will re-create/download anything it needs when you run it.

But Sam will be able to sort you out with a new VP if you lose that. :D

I assumed you'd have the disk, but with all the downloads on PSN these days, you never know. ;)

You don't need to take the disk out, so long as FIFA isn't running. I wouldn't hold your breath for it it to work, but nothing to lose trying. I've had issues with FIFA (mainly not installing squad updates) & deleting game data did solve that.

One thing you might want to check... Have you any F11 Creation Centre downloads installed? I know that these can upset F12 in a BIG way. I had some F11 players I wanted to use & F12 refused to start any Career modes with them installed. Didn't play any clubs then so don't know if that was a problem in clubs, too. It's annoying that the CC shows F11 & F12 stuff, but F11 imports can stiff F12. But what do you expect from EA? :mad:

I did notice aFifa11 file on the utility data and I deleted it. I should not have any creation center data now other then my VP. I think. I'm at work right now and can't check.

What I noticed last night about the camera angle was I could not tell how close the defender was to me when he was directly in front of me and lost the ball more times than I can remember. I want to try to put some depth perception to the front of the VP.

Rafa_SLB_ is good at defending in clubs, probably our best at defending. The only criticism is that he doesn't clear the ball enough, but more than makes up for that.

That was where I placed it in the far corner & a defender came from nowhere to clear it, but I never saw him there when I shot. When I asked in chat no one else saw him too, until he stopped the goal. He might have been in the goal, I suppose, but I don't think they hadn't an ANY so why would the CPU put a player behind the GK in open play?

Makes life much easier though, having a huge HDD. (I guess having PS+ means I d/l a lot! :D) But don't forget lots of games dump game data on your HD these days, so having a larger HD means you don't need to worry about deleting stuff so much.

I was thinking about Nitenite's DC problems as ANY, perhaps we should try him as ANY but not as Captain. Could be that playing as Captain puts a strain on his connection. When I played for Pesfan we always gave the same player the Captain, because when some players had it, there was too much lag & the always DC. It seems that the Club Captain's connection has some bearing on the game.

After he DC and we had to use a CPU ANY, we actually played very well with me as CDM, Raf as CAM & Brummy up front. Maybe we should give it a go next time.

i like playing as ANY guys but really for me i can play all around the park so don’t mind playing anywhere, Raf does a good job as well, i just think if we all do the simple things well we can win more than we do (which is a lot already :) )

anyway when theres a chance i hope for one game only we go 433 with sam, brum, me upfront. if we get 3 in mid field its more bodies in the middle and more balls won, thats the theory anyway lol

I enjoy you playing as ANY because you look around. IMO we are far too 'forward' focused & lose the ball because people don't seem to like playing the ball backwards.

No harm in trying, esp' if it's the first game of a cup run. We've tried other formations, like two CDMs, but 41212 seems to suit us because there's little confusion about player roles and it gives us the 2 wide players. When we play with CDM & CAM, these two players can bounce from box-to-box, but for 433 to work, the middle 3 must control midfield together. I think it would work with you as ANY, because you're not in too much of a rush to get the ball up field.

It reminds me of what Sam said last night(?). When he first saw me play, he thought I was running around like a headless chicken. But then he realised I was trying to cover holes in our formation. It's very difficult when there are more than 4 players, if people aren't discipled in their position (not having a go, I'm as guilty as anyone). That's why it's often easier to win with 3, because the game keeps most players in position.

Playing last night with you as ANY made me realise that the Captain should be the last player in the formation (ie CB or CDM), because this allows them to have some control over the defence & GK. I was playing as CDM & often wanted to pressure an attacker with a CPU player while I covered, but not being Capt I couldn't.

Bah! I don't get it....PKs are the ONE thing that I do well at in on-line play. I've now taken three in Club play and have missed all three. What the heck!?!?

In my defense, I had a lot of button lag. Not regular lag where the game stutters but I would press pass and it would not pass right away. I haven't experienced that in a long time .
I just now played two on-line matches and had some serious button lag. I couldn't even change direction it was that bad.

There always seems to be that extra bit of lag on clubs compared to other online game modes when it comes to pens, so it's best to allow an extra second before you shoot.

Yeah, I scored some nice goals after you'd gone. We lost the fnal to some amazing bs. Why is it our CPU GK plays rubbish & theirs is MOTM and they didn't have an ANY. The CPU was sliding in all over the place, we got no space at all.

Still, going 3-1 down after being a goal up & scoring the winner is stoppage time was possibly one of our best games of the night.

My issue was with the button lag. I was not incurring any lag in the game play....just my buttons. I would be running forward and change directions on my controller and it would take a good half of a second to respond. Same with my passes. It also gets worse as the game goes on. Earlier this week was the first time that I experienced this with F12. It used to happen to me a lot in F11. Anyone know what causes this and is there anything I can do to stop it.

Right I Got A Msg Last Night From A Club Who Are 1 place Above us in the Overall Standings And they Said That They wanted to give us a game Later on Tonight Or Even 2moro If we don't have enough players on tonight so shall we accept there challange There In The North American League With A Pretty Good Record They Don't Look a bad side either To test are ability Against So Should we accept there Challange and play them Xemik?
