Does anybody have any tips at all on Free Kicks? I'm absolute pump on them the best trick I had was putting it under the wall but no-one jumps anymore so it doesn't work?
I'm an absolute novice on FKs and i'm thinking I need another weapon in my arsenal for online modes. Instead of just ballooning it over constantly or laying it off to no-one :ha:
Cheers in advance :)

Lay off's to no one are most annoying :( :D.
Rye scored an awesome FK in clubs last night, he is the FK pro :D

Dip it over the wall, or curve it near the wall.
2examples for you :D

You'll have to practice a lot, but when you learn it you'll be amazing at free kicks.

I have always taking my free kicks with RB held down. :s I am not sure it actually does anything.. apart from in my head I feel that it gives the ball more curve. Even for driven LB free kicks I hold RB down as well.

Would quite like some tips too, I haven't score 1 freekick in a match yet. Was the same in FIFA 11 too. Seems so difficult at first when you have no FK stats.

Here is a tip. Put less power into the free kick, usually 2, 2.5 max makes it.(even if the player has got a low power stat)

I scored so many Free Kicks when playing offline on FIFA 11, but I havent scored one on FIFA 12 yet.
I am not amused.

I've never used any extra buttons for my regular free kicks in any footy game I've played. It's always just been the d-pad or analogue stick + shoot button.
The only extra button I have used has been in only the last few years, just for either long range or very close range free kicks, which has been the LB/L1 button for a power free kick.
My technique for normal free kicks from around 25-30 yards out has been the same as it was since early PES days. :D I always curl them but it's done by holding the direction in place about half a second before you shoot. It's hard to explain but I'll give it a go...
As soon as you hit the shoot button when taking a free kick it locks the direction in place doesn't it? Therefore I move the position to a place further wide out, then when I hold the direction in place (left or right depending on which way you're want to curl) and you see the camera position swivelling around I'll then press to shoot. The point at which I do this is just before the area in which I want the ball to go (because you have to take into account the curl). So therefore you have to think the position where you choose to shoot will actually be a bit less to what you're actually aiming for, as you want the ball to bend away from the keeper.
For free kicks just outside the D I normally use slightly over 1/4 the power bar if I can do it. For any further out than that it approaches half power bar.
It's very hard to explain how I take them, but really it is a very simple technique ultimately. :D It's mainly all about predicting in your head where the bend will take the ball and how much of a gap you need to leave when you decide to press shoot as you hold down a direction. The directions I use are either top-left, or top-right depending on which side the FK is.

I fail at freekicks on this game, on 11 I could hit them 75% of the time, Now it's more like 10% of the time!

I score almost all of my free kicks(or they hit the goal pole) in UT, but in clubs, my pro has 81FKA 81 CRV and he just smashes it over every time, his power isn't high btw

I use the same old techniques I used in FIFA11 except a little bit more adjusted.
