That's bizarre. Usually even terrible finesse shots beat a keeper all ends up, but I've never seen anything like that!

Maybe the game thought to itself "Ah balls. I was supposed to allow this shot to curl into the middle of the goal and have the keeper make a pointless dive. I know, I'll make the keeper palm it into his own net. There, that's fixed it."

Tom....what mode was this in? If you were supposed to win this and the CPU simply did not WANT you to, then you have your explanation. It does not matter how good you are. It only matters what mood the CPU is in.

H2H, but I have been in plenty of those situations where "EA did not want me to win"

Were you about to be promoted or relegated? I find that strange things happen to me in H2H if I'm about to be promoted/relegated. It's usually not a strange goal like that though. It's usually having to do with one of my players falling for no reason, passing to no one or fouling my opponent in the box. Occasionally a strange goal will be scored against me but not as often .
