Restrictive Firewall Status?

Anybody else's firewall status changed after the maintenance this morning?

Last night I had it on moderate before I went to be, come on after the maintenance was done to find it was on restrictive.

I don't know if it has affected my games, haven't played yet.

Is yours always on moderate Brum? Should try and get it to Open if you can somehow.

Either involves a reboot of the router (easy method) or going into the router settings and putting PS3 into DMZ or something (annoying method).

Yeah it's always been on moderate ever since I can remember, I'll have a go at a reboot of the router and see if it does any good. We usually leave our router on for months at a time (can't be good can it?).

Yeah it's best to reset every now and then.

Unless you do regular speed checks and find your connection is always great.

This happens to me occasionally too . Mine's always set to MODERATE however sometimes it will change to RESTRICTED inadvertently. Even if there was NO maintenance. I just don't know how to get it to OPEN status.

This helps open my NAT Type however it still says MODERATE.
So it's best to reset your router?
How often?
How can I get it to OPEN & is is safe?

I would just try resetting your router, Leo.

The other option is putting the PS3 into the DMZ I think, within the router settings. This can be unsafe if you put something else in there by mistake, like your PC for example.
