Favorite formation

I've seen so many great teams in this thread and so many different formations. If you had to pick just ONE formation to play in - what would it be?

3-5-2 all day long.

I have used this formation for as long as I can remember. Something about this formation just clicks with my playing style. Very attacking when you want it to be, and with decent CB's, it can be very good in terms of defending.

I really highly encourage people to try this and not to be put off by the (3) at the back.

4321 for me as it covers everything, including the tournament games which is important to me as I play a lot of them.

If there were no tournaments on UT then I'd happily play 3412 every game.

I haven't really found a formation I like in this years UT.. I have used most of them as well.

I always used 4-2-2-2 in FIFA 10 & 11 yet this year it is so broken.

I Liked 352 when I used it in the beginning of my FUT career.
I am most successful with 41212.
But my favorite is 4231

4-1-2-1-2, I have probably been most successful with, but I really like playing 4-2-3-1 for the possession game. Love it.

Is there a noticeable difference playing 4-1-2-1-2 vs 4-3-1-2 ? (Besides the positions)

I think there is, yeah. You notice it much more so in the incredibly annoying online tournament games.

4-3-1-2 offers more protection defensively than 4-1-2-1-2. When decent players are constantly using contain defending in this formation it can be hard to break through.

Plus the 3 attacking players in that formation can cause a heck of a lot of damage.

Thanks Rye. This is one reason that I think that they (EA) should at least offer flex formation cards. All of my team is 41212 however I'd like to try 4312. So if I try it and dont like it, I'm screwed. I am the kind of player that need extra defensive protection.

I have recently made the switch to 4312 from 4321. It does work very well I have to say.

Maybe just pause and switch in game to 4312 to see if you like it? before spending coins changing from 41212 to it.

I agree tho they should let you apply multiple formation cards to players so you can mix it up easier.

Yep...even if its for a limited time; Bronze (5 games) Silver (10 games) & Gold (15 games). It could be done...I mean if contracts can expire - so could flex formation & position cards.
