Arsenal Career Mode

I have my Arsenal career mode 12 league games in. I'm currently tied for 4th place on World Class behind Man U, Chelsea, Man City, and I'm tied with Liverpool and Tottenham. I lost to Man U, tied Chelsea, and beat both Liverpool and Spurs. I decided to play a 4-2-1-3 with Arteta and Wilshere playing more of a center midfield instead of defensive midfield. I moved RVP to center attacking mid. I signed Welliton from Spartak Moskva for 17 million pounds. On deadline day I panicked and signed Lucio from Inter for 9 million pounds as my back four had been wretched up to that point. My lineup look likes this:

Interesting Career Mode story and you are doing well. Also I think you made decent signings and improved your defence. What about Vermaelen - you don't play with him??

You're lucky as on transfer d-day I couldn't sign anyone with CSKA Moscow lol

Verm started the season but was bad and picked up an injury when Lucio came and Lucio and Mert are playing very well together

Thanks everyone. Crunch time coming up with the F.A. Cup set to begin as the transfer window heats up. I wasn't planning on making any moves but I might have to reconsider because Van Persie sprained his ankle and is out for 4 weeks. Right now I sit in 3rd place, 2 points behind Chelsea and 7 behind Man U and Man city 1 points behind me.

Somehow we overtook Man U in the standings and lead by a point including a 5th round FA Cup win at Old Trafford. After Van Persie made a full recovery he played in a couple games and started against Man U in the FA Cup. Of course he then broke his ankle thanks to a cheap Fletcher tackle and is out for 3 months. FANTASTIC!

Well bad news. The file that holds my career mode doesn't work so whenever I try to do the career mode it freezes. Everything else on the game works. I think I'm going to have to start over.

That's very unlucky. I remember it happened to me in one of the past Fifa games. You don't have any auto saves for that career mode??

After a long time, I re-started an Arsenal manger mode. I simmed the first season, finished third and won the F.A. Cup. In the transfer window I signed M'vila, Javi Martinez and Podolski, hoping to spend my money realistically. After a great start to the season, Van Persie decides he wants to leave which is so stupid I can't believe it so I sold him to Real Madrid. Has this happened to anyone, where thier best player wants to leave for no reason? It would make more sense if we hadn't qualified for UCL or hadn't made any signings but I accomplished everything that he would want in real life to stay.

I also signed Javi Martinez in my second season I think, he is massive, he can't run for toffee though. How much did you sell RVP for?

@NYR210 Essien wanted to leave Chelsea for some reason when I was managing them. Bit strange tbh, he was getting regular games and everything

Very good signings. I have never played with any of the players but have read that they are very good in Fifa 12.
